Nigeria's Green Energy Corporation Proposed to Boost Economy to $1 Trillion
The establishment of the Nigerian Green Energy and Chemicals Corporation is proposed to accelerate Nigeria's economy to $1 trillion within five years. The plan focuses on formalizing the informal economy and processing coal resources for advanced manufacturing, potentially increasing GDP and export revenues.

The Galadiman Ruwa Centre for Strategic Leadership and Communication has proposed the Nigerian Green Energy and Chemicals Corporation (NGECC) to facilitate Nigeria's goal of a $1 trillion economy in 60 months. The initiative involves processing coal resources into synthetic graphite and carbon materials for the artificial intelligence sector, with the potential to strengthen the naira and enhance industrialization.
The proposal, termed 'The 60-Month Sovereign Acceleration Matrix,' emphasizes two strategic pillars: formalizing the informal economy and establishing the NGECC. Research indicates that integrating around 50 million informal operators could significantly boost GDP and broaden the tax base.
As global investment in AI rises, Nigeria could enhance foreign exchange earnings through value-added exports. Structural reforms are deemed essential for achieving these economic objectives.
