Nissan to Launch e-Power Hybrid System in U.S. with New Rogue SUV
Nissan plans to introduce its e-Power hybrid system in the U.S. with the Rogue SUV later this year. The series hybrid uses a gas engine solely as a generator to power electric motors, differing from traditional hybrids. S&P Global Mobility predicts hybrid sales to rise to 18.4% of new vehicle sales in the U.S. this year. The e-Power system aims to meet consumer demand for fuel efficiency amid rising gas prices.

Nissan has previously sold over 1.6 million e-Power vehicles globally since 2016, and the system is adaptable to different engines for potential expansion.
