nLighten and Arqit Complete POC for Sovereign Public Cloud Use
nLighten and Arqit Quantum Inc. have successfully completed a proof of concept demonstrating the viability of using public cloud services while maintaining control over sensitive data and cryptographic assets. This development enables organizations to leverage the advantages of public cloud technologies without compromising on data sovereignty, crucial for regulated sectors such as finance and healthcare.

nLighten and Arqit Quantum Inc. have finalized a proof of concept (POC) that illustrates how organizations can utilize public cloud services while retaining data sovereignty. This POC, conducted at nLighten's datacenter in Geneva, integrates cloud capabilities with a sovereign European infrastructure, ensuring that customer data remains secure and auditable.
As regulatory scrutiny on digital sovereignty increases in Europe, this collaboration provides a model for organizations to comply with new frameworks while benefiting from cloud innovations. The approach contrasts with traditional models by relying on a physical datacenter, enabling verifiable sovereignty controls. This solution is expected to be expanded across nLighten's network of over 30 edge datacenters in seven European countries.
