Northrop Grumman and Aeronix Partner for Space-Based Cryptographic Systems
Northrop Grumman and Aeronix have initiated a multimillion-dollar collaboration to create space-based cryptographic systems aimed at enhancing secure defense communications. This project is significant for improving the security and efficiency of classified data handling in military operations.

Northrop Grumman and Aeronix have formed a multimillion-dollar partnership to develop cryptographic systems for space-based defense communications. The initiative aims for a five-fold increase in the performance of classified data processing and transmission.
The cryptographic applications will protect classified data on space defense platforms and networks, and include the development of mission system cryptographic devices. The companies will employ modular, open architecture designs for adaptability to new cyber threats. This collaboration builds on previous work involving a space-based mesh networking system for secure data sharing among low-Earth-orbit satellites.
