Nusku Trials Innovative All-in-One Heat Pump in Bristol
Nusku is testing an all-in-one heat pump with integrated water cylinder, aimed at replacing gas boilers cost-effectively. Widespread trials are set to expand beyond Bristol before the official launch in 2025.

Nusku, a startup based in Bristol, is conducting trials of a new heat pump system that merges a water cylinder and heat pump into a single unit. The design allows for installation outside of homes, facilitating a quicker installation process that takes days rather than over a week, making it a cost-effective alternative to gas boilers.
The system delivers 180 liters of water at 40°C and operates efficiently at a flow temperature of 65°C. Initial tests occurred at the University of Salford's Energy House, with ongoing trials in Bristol and plans for expansion to other cities prior to a planned product launch in 2025. This innovation aligns with increased funding for heat pump projects, totaling £5.3 million.
