The National Water Commission (NWC) has proposed a meeting with residents of McGhie Top in St James on Monday to discuss persistent water supply issues. Recent operational and infrastructure upgrades funded by the Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) are aimed at stabilizing water distribution in the area.
Current assessments indicate that outstanding project works, including a new pipeline installation and pump equipment replacement, will be completed by May 31, with improved service expected by early June. Weekly trucked water deliveries will continue until normal operations resume, and further assessments will address areas with inadequate supply.
