NWSC Reports Extended Repairs at Entebbe Water Works Due to Pump Damage
Repairs at Entebbe Water Works are extended due to severe damage to Raw Water Pump No. 1, necessitating a new installation. This upgrade to a higher-capacity pump aims to enhance long-term water supply reliability in affected areas.

Uganda's National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has announced delays in repairs at Entebbe Water Works due to significant damage to Raw Water Pump No. 1. Engineers have opted to install a new pump with a capacity of 1,200 cubic metres per hour instead of repairing the existing unit.
Currently, the plant is operating with Raw Water Pump No. 2, producing only 33% of the normal output for high-level distribution and 66% for low-level distribution. NWSC warns of potential low pressure and no-water situations in affected areas. Completion of the new installation is anticipated by the end of Monday.
