Octapharma is adopting a data-driven production approach at its Stockholm facility, utilizing Siemens’ Senseye Predictive Maintenance and Performance Insight App to monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and increase equipment availability. This effort, which started in 2025, is part of a pilot project focused on IT/OT integration.

Following a Proof of Concept in 2024, the implementation commenced in spring 2025. Additional deployments in Springe, Germany and Lingolsheim, France are set to be completed by 2026. The software aims to optimize filling line capacity and preemptively address maintenance needs to prevent unscheduled downtime.
