Ogeechee Technical College to Open $26 Million Georgia Training Center for Industrial Operations in September
Ogeechee Technical College will open the Georgia Training Center for Industrial Operations in September, a 38,000 square foot facility aimed at training students in mechanical, electrical, and automation skills. The project, costing approximately $26 million, has partnerships with the Development Authority of Bulloch County and the Technical College System of Georgia. The center is expected to generate an annual $15 million economic impact and will admit its first Industrial Operations Technology students in Fall 2026.

Ogeechee Technical College is set to open the Georgia Training Center for Industrial Operations in September. The 38,000 square foot facility will train students in mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and automation, aiming to increase teaching hours from 225,000 to 400,000 annually.
The project, estimated at $26 million, is supported by the Development Authority of Bulloch County and the Technical College System of Georgia, with funding from state bond sales. Georgia Southern University estimates a $15 million annual economic impact from the center, supporting local manufacturers like Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. The new Industrial Operations Technology program will accept 25 students in Fall 2026, with graduates expected by Spring 2028.
