Ongoing Sewage Issues in Peterborough After Pumping Station Failure
Residents in Peterborough's Hampton Gardens and Hampton Water are facing raw sewage problems due to a failed pumping station. O&H Land and Anglian Water are collaborating on temporary measures while a permanent solution is sought.

Residents in Peterborough's Hampton Gardens and Hampton Water are experiencing ongoing issues with raw sewage entering homes, attributed to a failure at a privately owned pumping station operated by O&H Land. Since June 20, when Anglian Water was first notified, the company has been providing support, including monitoring and daily tanker visits to alleviate system pressure.
A temporary pump is now in place, operating continuously, with further tanker support available. A replacement pump is expected to be delivered by the end of July. The local MP has raised concerns about the situation, emphasizing the need for a long-term solution to prevent future occurrences.
