Open Fiber Reports Growth in Revenue and Customer Base Amid Ongoing Investments

In the first half of 2026, Open Fiber reported revenues of €448.5 million, a 24% increase year-over-year. EBITDA reached €259.6 million, reflecting a 55% growth driven by increased revenues and cost containment, resulting in an EBITDA margin of 58%.
The customer base grew to approximately 4.1 million, with a projected total increase of 600,000 by year-end. Open Fiber's investments in fiber optics totaled around €800 million, completing the Italy at 1 Gbps project ahead of schedule.
The company has a negative net financial position of €7.3 billion due to ongoing investments. Diversification efforts include creating a network of data centers, with five completed and plans for eleven by year-end. Discussions regarding a merger with FiberCop remain on hold.
