Orizon Completes Acquisition of Holding Vital, Expands Waste Management Leadership in Latin America
Orizon Valorização de Resíduos has finalized its acquisition of Holding Vital, enhancing its waste management operations across Latin America. This strategic move allows Orizon to process over 14 million tons of waste annually, consolidating its position as a leading platform in the circular economy sector.

Orizon has integrated Holding Vital, enabling the operation of 30 ecoparks across 15 states and treating more than 14 million tons of waste annually. The acquisition, approved on March 8, resulted in a capital increase of R$ 3.308 billion via issuance of new shares and subscription bonuses.
The combined company reported a net revenue of R$ 2.8 billion, an EBITDA of R$ 1.1 billion, and a net profit of R$ 439 million for the 12 months ending March 31. This expansion reinforces Orizon's capabilities in the waste management sector, catering to approximately 40 million people and generating over 4 million tons of carbon credits. The operational scale achieved may pose competitive challenges for other players in the region.
