Oyo State Approves ₦900 Million for Road Construction and ₦5.77 Billion for Vehicle Procurement
The Oyo State Government has approved ₦900 million as counterpart funding for 68 km of road construction, allowing access to ₦16.27 billion from international financial institutions. The funding will support critical road maintenance works including various settlements. Additionally, the executive council approved ₦5.77 billion for the purchase of 100 vehicles and an increase in the Oyo State Business Process Automation project budget to ₦578 million, aimed at modernizing civil service through technology.

Oyo State has approved ₦900 million in counterpart funding for the construction of 68 km of roads, facilitating access to ₦16.27 billion from the International Development Association and L'Agence Française de Développement. Key road rehabilitation projects include the 8.43 km Fashola Farm Settlement and 37 km Alako/Idi-Iya/Batake/Olowa Farm Settlement roads.
The government also allocated ₦5.77 billion for the purchase of 100 vehicles and increased the budget for the Business Process Automation project to ₦578 million to enhance civil service operations. The Light-Up Oyo State initiative was also approved with a ₦2.6 billion operational expenditure for 2026.
