Patterson Park Townhomes Complete Clean Energy Upgrade
Patterson Park's recent energy upgrade enhances resident comfort and aligns with sustainability goals. The project showcases a collaborative effort to transition affordable housing to clean energy solutions.

The clean-energy upgrade at Patterson Park in Redmond involved the installation of electric heat pumps and heat pump water heaters in 22 townhomes, replacing outdated gas systems. Completed in three months, this initiative supports the Environmental Sustainability Action Plan and the City of Redmond's affordable housing objectives, executed at no cost to residents.
Key partners included Energy Smart Eastside, Puget Sound Energy, the Washington Department of Commerce, and Habitat for Humanity. This upgrade not only improves living conditions but also marks significant progress in reducing carbon emissions from residential buildings, potentially influencing future affordable housing projects in the region.
