Pertamina and Halliburton Sign MoU to Evaluate New Drilling Technologies in Indonesia
Pertamina has partnered with Halliburton through a memorandum of understanding to assess new well construction technologies in Indonesia. The focus is on multi-stage hydraulic fracturing, acid stimulation, and advanced cementing services for onshore fields. The collaboration includes exploring automation and AI to enhance drilling processes, aiming to improve operational efficiency and production output.

Pertamina and Halliburton signed a memorandum of understanding to evaluate new drilling technologies in Indonesia, focusing on multi-stage hydraulic fracturing, acid stimulation, and advanced cementing services for selected onshore fields. The partnership will also explore automation systems and AI to enhance drilling and fracturing processes.
Halliburton aims to improve operational efficiency and production output through various technology platforms, including DecisionSpace 365 and iStar intelligent drilling. Additionally, Halliburton has launched the Next-Generation Energy Xccelerator Joint Lab (NEX Lab) in Singapore, a S$35m project aimed at advancing well completion technologies. Halliburton reported a net income of $589m for Q4 2025.
