Pertamina Enhances Emergency Response System in Semarang with Oil Spill and Evacuation Simulation
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga conducted an integrated emergency simulation in Semarang to assess and strengthen operational readiness. The exercise, involving multiple agencies, tested rapid response capabilities to high-risk scenarios, ensuring effective coordination during crises.

On June 2026, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga executed a large-scale emergency simulation at its Integrated Terminal in Semarang, focusing on oil spill responses and evacuation procedures. The scenario began with an overpressure event leading to leaks at critical points, specifically at the block valve in Mangrove Tambakrejo and a 50,000 DWT Single Point Mooring facility.
The simulation tested the efficacy of emergency response teams, including Basarnas, TNI, and local health services, in managing environmental hazards and conducting medical evacuations. Successful coordination and communication were emphasized as crucial factors, with various agencies collaborating to improve operational resilience. This exercise highlighted the importance of preparedness in ensuring public safety and environmental protection.
