PLA Aircraft Intrude into Taiwan Airspace Amid Ongoing Tensions
On March 17, Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense reported the incursion of 21 PLA aircraft into its airspace, coinciding with patrols by PLA ships. Meanwhile, Taiwan's Coast Guard expelled four Chinese coast guard vessels from restricted waters near Kinmen, as the U.S. confirmed the scheduled delivery of 102 PAC-3 MSE missiles to Taiwan. In response to ongoing tensions, Taiwan plans to develop low-cost air defense munitions, with live testing anticipated next year.
