Postquant Labs Launches Quantum-Classical Blockchain Testnet Quip.Network
Postquant Labs has launched Quip.Network, the first public quantum-classical blockchain testnet. This initiative aims to assess quantum computing's potential to enhance blockchain performance and energy efficiency.

Postquant Labs has introduced Quip.Network, a testnet combining quantum and classical computing aimed at optimizing blockchain tasks. The testnet has attracted over 13,000 researchers globally, with six teams already submitting computational projects.
The platform allows participants to earn QUIP tokens by solving optimization problems using various computing resources. Initial trials with D-Wave's Advantage2 quantum computer have shown potential advantages over traditional systems in energy efficiency and solution quality.
However, the testnet is still in a beta phase, and a mainnet launch will depend on demonstrating a genuine quantum advantage and market viability. The results could significantly influence blockchain applications beyond cryptocurrency.
