PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) underscores the critical role of oil and gas in Indonesia's energy transition, highlighting the need for continued reliance on these resources to meet rising domestic energy demands and fund sustainable investments. Despite production challenges, PHE is implementing various strategies, including Enhanced Oil Recovery and exploration, while committing to environmental, social, and governance principles, notably through Carbon Capture, Storage, and Utilization initiatives. The company also enforces a Zero Tolerance on Bribery policy to promote ethical business practices.

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) emphasizes the ongoing importance of oil and gas (migas) in supporting Indonesia's energy resilience amid the transition to low-carbon energy. Director Bayu Kusuma Dewanto stated that rising domestic energy demands necessitate continued reliance on migas, which also generates cash flow for sustainable investments in production and low-carbon business development.
PHE faces production challenges due to natural decline and is implementing programs like drilling, Enhanced Oil Recovery, and exploration to maintain national production levels. PHE also highlights its commitment to energy transition through environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, including Carbon Capture, Storage, and Utilization (CCS/CCUS) efforts with a potential capacity of 7.3 Giga Tons across 11 priority sites. The company enforces a Zero Tolerance on Bribery policy to ensure clean business practices.
