Purina's new facility in Clermont County, Ohio, is set to produce enough pet food for 8 million animals annually. With significant local and state incentives, the plant aims to create over 500 jobs, marking a major investment in the region's manufacturing sector.

Purina's $550 million pet food plant in Clermont County, Ohio, is now operational with distribution activities underway. The facility, which spans 1.3 million square feet and includes 11 buildings, is expected to produce sufficient dry pet food for 8 million animals annually.
State and local governments provided incentives valued at up to $10 million, including tax credits for job creation. The plant will employ over 500 workers at full capacity, benefiting from the local manufacturing workforce.
Construction faced delays due to contractor issues and the COVID-19 pandemic, with manufacturing expected to commence within four to five months. The extensive automation aims to complement the workforce rather than replace it, enhancing operational efficiency.
