The Rajasthan Agriculture Department has partnered with IORA Ecological Solutions to implement an Agricultural Land Management Carbon Project aimed at enabling farmers to access carbon finance. This initiative focuses on activities that reduce carbon emissions, including plantation, micro-irrigation, farm ponds, and solar pumps.

Under the Carbon Credit Trading Scheme 2023, a pilot project will launch in selected blocks: Bansur, Mahuwa, and Malpura. Farmers using practices like fertilizer management and tree plantation will qualify for payments based on carbon emission reductions. The project promotes an economic mechanism for trading carbon credits, allowing entities to manage greenhouse gas emissions effectively.
