Red Sea Global Cultivates 5,000 Red Mangrove Seedlings in Al Wajh Lagoon

CARBON CAPTURE

Red Sea Global has cultivated over 5,000 red mangrove seedlings in Al Wajh Lagoon, considered the northernmost natural habitat for these trees. This project enhances coastal protection, supports marine biodiversity, and is crucial for carbon sequestration.

The initiative achieved a 97% seedling survival rate through advanced techniques. This effort is part of a broader program targeting the planting of six million seedlings, which includes over three million grey mangrove seedlings planted to date. The Red Sea destination will also feature nine luxury resorts and the upcoming AMAALA destination with high-end facilities.
