Releaf Earth has successfully issued Nigeria's first industrial-scale carbon removal credits, generating 190 tonnes of CO₂e from its biochar production facility in Cross River State. The credits were purchased by companies like Salesforce via Milkywire, showcasing Nigeria's potential in the global carbon market. Releaf's approach utilizes stable biochar to ensure permanent carbon sequestration, adhering to the Rainbow Standard. This milestone aligns with Nigeria's economic diversification goals, targeting $3 billion in carbon market revenue by 2030.
