Rigetti Launches 108-Qubit Quantum Computing System Cepheus-1-108Q
Rigetti's Cepheus-1-108Q is now available, featuring the industry's highest qubit count at 108. This advancement reflects the company's proprietary chiplet-based architecture, enhancing computational capacity significantly.

Rigetti Computing has made its 108-qubit quantum computing system, Cepheus-1-108Q, generally available. This system, the largest modular quantum computing setup in the industry, includes twelve interconnected 9-qubit chiplets.
This marks a significant increase from the previous 36-qubit system, Cepheus-1-36Q, tripling both the qubit and chiplet counts. Performance metrics show a median two-qubit gate fidelity of 99.1% and a median single-gate fidelity of 99.9%, with a gate speed of approximately 60 ns. The development of this system may impact the quantum computing landscape by improving scalability and performance benchmarks.
