The Riverside Fire Department has implemented a Pump Pod recycling system designed to save 3.5 to 4.5 million gallons of water annually during training. The system includes a training hydrant that feeds water continuously, allowing firefighters to practice without wasting resources. Each unit can deliver over 2,000 gallons per minute and is portable for use in various locations. Other fire departments in California, including Orange County and Los Angeles, have also acquired Pump Pods.

The Riverside Fire Department has introduced the Pump Pod, a water recycling system that prevents waste during firefighter training, saving an estimated 3.5 to 4.5 million gallons of water annually. The system features a stand-alone training hydrant that provides a continuous water supply.
Firefighters use hoses to direct water into a mobile tank, which returns to the hydrant. The Pump Pod can deliver over 2,000 gallons per minute and is portable, allowing for flexible training locations. Other departments, including Orange County and Los Angeles, have also adopted this system.
