Russia Conducts MiG-31 Operations with Kinzhal Missiles; India to Acquire R-37M Missiles for Su-30MKI Fleet
The Russian Armed Forces conducted patrol flights over the Sea of Japan using MiG-31 interceptors armed with Kinzhal hypersonic missiles. The operation was confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defense. India plans to acquire hundreds of R-37M missiles to enhance the strike capabilities of its Su-30MKI fighters, addressing operational vulnerabilities revealed during recent confrontations with Pakistan. This move is part of a broader strategy to modernize the Indian Air Force amid regional military developments.
