Salient Motion Secures Production Contract with Aviointeriors for Business-Class Seat Actuators
Aerospace startup Salient Motion has secured its first production contract with Aviointeriors to supply seat actuation systems for business-class seats. This contract will include actuator systems for a few hundred seats to be delivered by late 2026 or early 2027. The partnership utilizes a rapid certification process to enhance supplier options and expedite delivery, addressing the demand for premium seating as airlines anticipate a need for over eight million new seats valued at $52 billion over the next decade.

Salient Motion has raised $16 million in funding and is collaborating with Boeing Ventures. The company is also involved in developing components for military drones.
