Salient Motion has obtained its first production contract with Aviointeriors to provide seat actuation systems for business-class seating. The contract involves actuator systems for a few hundred seats to be installed on Airbus and Boeing narrowbody jets starting in late 2026 or early 2027.

The partnership aims to modernize the seating supply chain by leveraging a rapid certification process, allowing faster access to certified systems. The aerospace industry requires over eight million seats in the next decade, representing a market worth $52 billion.

Salient Motion has raised $16 million in funding and is collaborating with Boeing Ventures. The company is also involved in developing components for military drones.
