Samsung C&T Partners with Axens to Advance Global CCUS Projects

CARBON CAPTURE

Samsung C&T and Axens are collaborating to accelerate carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) projects globally under a memorandum of understanding. Samsung C&T will leverage its energy infrastructure experience, while Axens will provide advanced technology, including its proprietary DMX amine-based carbon capture process.

The partnership aims to deliver impactful and cost-effective solutions to reduce carbon emissions. Axens claims its DMX technology can lower energy consumption by up to 30% compared to conventional systems. The CCUS sector must transition from planning to execution to meet 2030 climate objectives, with projects like Denmark's Project Greensand and the Stratos DAC in Texas marking significant advancements.
