Samsung SDS Selected for Woori Bank's AI Agent Initiative
Samsung SDS will lead the implementation of over 175 AI agents for Woori Bank, marking a significant advancement in financial AI transformation. The project aims to enhance operational efficiency by 30% across various banking functions.

Samsung SDS has been chosen as the preferred bidder for Woori Bank's AI agent project, which is the first large-scale deployment of AI in banking. The initiative will involve the development of over 175 AI agents to automate processes across 29 core tasks, including customer relationship management and workflow automation.
The project will start in May, with approximately 90 AI agents set to be operational by December 2026, followed by a gradual expansion until August 2027. Additionally, Samsung SDS will modernize Woori Bank's IT infrastructure, migrating systems from Unix to Linux to improve scalability and cloud integration. This transformation is expected to significantly streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
