Sandbox VR will open a new location at Short Pump Town Center, occupying a 12,000-square-foot space formerly held by Go! Calendars. The venue will feature two free-roam rooms for VR gaming, including experiences tied to popular Netflix shows, and will accommodate up to six players per game.
The shop will initially operate under a one-year lease and is expected to open in late March with an admission fee ranging from $55 to $60. Concurrently, women's clothing store Francesca's is closing its Short Pump location as part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, with a store-closing sale currently ongoing. The Short Pump store is the only location of Francesca's in the Richmond area.
