Sarawak and France Explore Joint Investment Opportunities in Key Sectors
Sarawak and France are discussing joint investments to enhance strategic cooperation in sectors like TVET, maritime, aviation, renewable energy, oil and gas, and CCUS technology. This initiative aligns with Sarawak's Post COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030, which promotes sustainable growth and digital economy expansion. The French Ambassador acknowledged Sarawak's advantages for high-tech investments and its role as a gateway to the ASEAN market.

Sarawak is exploring joint investment opportunities with France to strengthen cooperation in various sectors, including Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), maritime, aviation, renewable energy, oil and gas, and carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS). This initiative supports the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030, focusing on sustainable growth and digital economy. The French Ambassador noted Sarawak's appeal for sustainable investments due to its renewable energy resources and robust infrastructure, along with its stable political climate and strategic location as a gateway to the ASEAN market.
