Schaeffler has established a new robotics venture, Schaeffler Embodied Intelligent Robotics (Taicang) Co., Ltd., in Suzhou, China, on February 27, 2026. The company will focus on developing and manufacturing essential robotic components such as rolling bearings, planetary roller screws, precision gearboxes, motors, and sensors.

The operation will include a fully integrated research and manufacturing framework with a smart R&D center and digitally enabled production lines. Schaeffler plans to utilize humanoid robots in its manufacturing processes, integrating them into smart factory systems to enhance production models through digital twin platforms, 5G connectivity, and AI.
