SCSU Secures $326K in State Grants for Workforce Development Initiatives
St. Cloud State University is awarded $326,000 in state funding to enhance workforce development in partnership with EssilorLuxottica and American Solutions for Business. This investment aims to bolster training in automation, digital proficiency, and leadership skills.

St. Cloud State University will receive $326,000 from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development for workforce development projects. Of this funding, $248,437 is allocated for a training program with EssilorLuxottica that covers automation and robotics over 240 hours.
Additionally, a partnership with American Solutions for Business will provide $41,476 for 22 hours of training focused on digital proficiency and conflict resolution. The statewide initiative includes 10 workforce grants totaling $1.6 million. The funding reflects a strategic investment in developing skilled labor in the region, addressing current workforce gaps and enhancing industry collaboration.
