Seal Robotics Secures €1.8 Million Pre-Seed Funding for Container Handling Automation
Munich-based startup Seal Robotics has secured €1.8 million in pre-seed funding, led by the Creator Fund, to develop robotic systems aimed at automating safety-critical processes in terminal logistics. The funding will support pilot projects in Northern Europe and Southeast Asia and facilitate the introduction of automation for hazardous manual tasks such as Twistlock and Pin Handling. Over the next year, the company plans to enhance its engineering efforts and strengthen partnerships with terminal operators to meet the growing demand for safe automation in container handling.

Munich-based startup Seal Robotics has raised approximately €1.8 million ($2.1 million) in a pre-seed funding round led by the Creator Fund, with participation from Auxxo, January Ventures, Marvelous, and Stefan Tietze. Founded in 2025, the company is developing robotic systems to automate safety-critical processes in terminal logistics, particularly addressing labor shortages and time pressures faced by operators.
The funding will enable Seal Robotics to expand its ongoing pilot projects in Northern Europe and Southeast Asia while preparing to introduce robotic systems for Twistlock and Pin Handling, both of which are currently manual and hazardous tasks. Over the next twelve months, the company aims to enhance its engineering and operations and deepen partnerships with terminal operators globally to meet the rising demand for reliable and safe automation in container handling.
