ShEquity Trains 15 Ghanaian SMEs for Carbon Market Access
ShEquity Partners conducted a workshop in Accra for 15 Ghanaian SMEs in climate-related sectors, enhancing their capabilities to access carbon markets. The training, held from March 24 to 25, aims to equip these businesses with necessary knowledge and skills while connecting them to funding for certification processes. The initiative, funded by GIZ, includes producing Carbon Opportunity Maps and advancing two businesses to carbon credit project development with financial support.

ShEquity Partners organized a two-day workshop in Accra for 15 Ghanaian SMEs focused on climate-related sectors to enhance their access to carbon markets. The training, held from March 24 to 25, aimed to provide SMEs with knowledge and technical skills for trading in carbon markets.
Funded by GIZ, the program began with the selection of 30 gender-smart green SMEs, providing 15 with Carbon Opportunity Maps and introducing 10 to investors and certifiers. The top two businesses will advance to project development with support for design documents and US$25,000 for certification efforts. This initiative supports Ghana's green transition and positions SMEs for global carbon market opportunities.
