Siemens Expands Private 5G Infrastructure to 15 Countries Including US and Canada
Siemens is launching its industrial-grade private 5G infrastructure in the US, bringing its total to 15 countries. This expansion supports sectors like manufacturing and logistics by providing robust connectivity essential for AI-driven applications.

Siemens has expanded its private 5G infrastructure to 15 countries, including the US and Canada, enabling manufacturers to deploy independent wireless networks. The solution now utilizes new radio units for the 3.8-4.2 GHz band and the US-specific CBRS band.
Siemens' routers are equipped with edge runtime capabilities, facilitating real-time data processing on-site. The infrastructure addresses connectivity challenges in manufacturing, where unlicensed Wi-Fi struggles under high data volumes.
By operating on a licensed spectrum, Siemens ensures reliable connectivity for critical applications. The solution, certified for safety-related communications, integrates into Siemens' Xcelerator portfolio and supports key automation protocols. The US market launch is scheduled for summer 2026.
