Singita Partners with TASC for Carbon Offset Through GRASS Project
Singita has partnered with TASC to support carbon-neutral guest stays by investing in South Africa's GRASS project, which focuses on rangeland restoration and community-led conservation. This initiative has led to the retirement of 16,980 carbon credits to offset guest-related emissions.

Singita has executed a partnership with TASC to enhance carbon neutrality for its guest stays by investing in the GRASS project, which emphasizes rangeland restoration and bolsters rural livelihoods. As part of this collaboration, Singita retired 16,980 carbon credits at the start of 2026 to offset emissions from guest accommodations.
The GRASS initiative has issued 266,255 Verified Carbon Units (VCUs), verified under the CCB label. This partnership aligns with Singita's sustainability strategy, directing funds towards community conservation efforts and ecosystem restoration in South Africa. The integration of carbon costs into guest bookings reflects industry trends towards sustainable tourism practices, but may also introduce complexities in pricing structures.
