This acquisition follows a previous investment of €256,000 for a 19-tonne septic tank cleaning vehicle.

SMAS de Sintra will acquire a 9-tonne combined septic tank and sewer-cleaning vehicle for €192,000 to improve operational capacity for wastewater drainage network maintenance. The new vehicle replaces a 24-year-old model, which is no longer operational.
It will facilitate cleaning in narrow streets where larger vehicles cannot operate effectively. The vehicle will have a 5,000-litre cistern, a suction pump with a 400 m3/hour flow rate, and a high-pressure pump with 80 litres/minute capacity at 175 bar pressure. This purchase follows a previous acquisition of a 19-tonne septic tank cleaning vehicle for €256,000, necessitated by increasing service requests.
