Skytree Secures €5.5M Funding for Direct Air Capture CO2 Solutions
Amsterdam-based Skytree has secured €5.5M in seed funding to advance its direct air capture technology aimed at CO2 solutions for climate-neutral horticulture. The funding, led by Horticoop and Yield Lab Europe, will support the company's efforts to generate onsite CO2 and reduce natural gas reliance, potentially increasing agricultural yields by 20-30%. Skytree, founded in 2014, has registered 17 patents globally and is now accepting pre-orders for its vertical farm units.

Amsterdam-based Skytree has raised €5.5M ($6M) in a seed funding round to develop direct air capture (DAC) technology for CO2 solutions. The funding round, announced on June 13, was led by Horticoop and Yield Lab Europe.
Skytree aims to support climate-neutral horticulture by generating onsite CO2, reducing reliance on natural gas. Founded in 2014, Skytree's DAC technology filters CO2 from ambient air and stores it for agricultural use, potentially increasing yields by 20-30% compared to conventional methods. The company has registered 17 patents in multiple regions, including the US, Europe, and China, and is now taking pre-orders for its vertical farm units.
