SLB Capturi and Aker Solutions Secure Carbon Capture Contract with Hafslund Celsio
SLB Capturi and Aker Solutions have signed an EPCIC contract with Hafslund Celsio for a carbon capture solution in Oslo. This project aligns with Norway's Longship initiative, aiming to capture 350,000 metric tons of CO2 annually, contributing significantly to industrial decarbonization efforts.
SLB Capturi and Aker Solutions will provide a carbon capture solution for Hafslund Celsio's waste-to-energy facility in Klemetsrud, Oslo. The project will deliver a carbon capture plant, liquefaction system, temporary storage, and loading facilities, with CO2 transported to the Northern Lights storage site.
Upon completion, the facility is expected to capture 350,000 metric tons of CO2 annually. This project is part of Norway's Longship CCS initiative, enhancing efficiency through modular designs. The facility is projected to be operational by Q3 2029, demonstrating significant public-private collaboration in the CCS sector.
