SMD to Upgrade Control System for Pharos UTV620 Jet Trencher
Pharos Offshore Group has selected SMD to provide a control system upgrade for the UTV620 jet trenching spread, featuring a SCADA-based software system and advanced Mux technology. The UTV620, which supports cable and pipeline burial, will benefit from enhanced real-time monitoring, improved operational precision, and increased reliability in upcoming projects.

Pharos Offshore Group has contracted SMD to upgrade the control system of the UTV620 jet trenching spread. The upgrade includes a SCADA-based software system and the latest Mux technology. The UTV620, previously known as CT1, has a proven history in subsea trenching, delivering cable and pipeline burial support.
This enhancement aims to improve real-time monitoring, operational precision, and system reliability as the UTV620 prepares for future projects. Pharos continues to invest in stabilization and protection technology to ensure the UTV620 remains effective for seabed intervention campaigns.
