SMW-AUTOBLOK Launches MOTIACT Long Stroke Grippers for Heavy Workpieces
The MOTIACT series by SMW-AUTOBLOK and SMW-electronics introduces long stroke grippers MX-L 335 compact and MX-L 520, designed for automation in metal construction and energy technology. The MX-L 335 compact has a stroke of 55 mm per jaw and grip forces ranging from 2,500 to 27,000 N, filling the gap between the MX-M 125 and MX-L 520. Both grippers feature lightweight aluminum housings, making them ideal for end-of-arm tooling, and they integrate seamlessly into automation environments via Profinet or Ethernet/IP.

SMW-AUTOBLOK's MOTIACT series includes the MX-L 335 compact and MX-L 520 long stroke grippers, designed for handling heavy workpieces in sectors like metal construction and energy technology. The MX-L 335 compact features a stroke of 55 mm and grip forces from 2,500 to 27,000 N, while the MX-L 520 offers a 99 mm stroke with grip forces from 10,000 to 40,000 N.
Both grippers have aluminum housings, weighing 32 kg and 42 kg, respectively, providing ample load capacity for robotic arms. Launched in 2023, the series supports strokes from 3 to 99 mm and grip forces from 40 to 40,000 N, ensuring precise handling and process safety. SMW also offers automation tools for gripper processes, including inductive coupling systems and automated quick-change solutions.
