Solidcore Resources plans to invest over $315.5 million to develop the Syrymbet tin deposit in North Kazakhstan. This investment, amounting to at least 150 billion tenge, will also fund the construction of a mining and processing plant, alongside related infrastructure.
The Syrymbet deposit holds significant resources, including 492,400 tonnes of tin and 91,400 tonnes of copper, equating to approximately 5.9 million ounces of gold equivalent. Solidcore is currently the second largest gold producer in Kazakhstan, following the divestment of its Russian operations. The company's major shareholder is a consortium of Omani investors with a 31.7% stake, which could influence future strategic decisions.
