Sonepar Acquires Fifth Brazilian Company in One Year
Sonepar has completed its fifth acquisition in Brazil within a year, enhancing its position in the electrical materials distribution sector. This strategy is part of a broader consolidation effort in the region, leveraging its subsidiary Eletronor.

Sonepar, the largest private French conglomerate, reported revenues of €33.6 billion last year. This marks its fifth acquisition in Brazil in just one year, focusing on the distribution of electrical materials through its subsidiary Eletronor.
Recent acquisitions include Intereng and Ladder, which specialize in automation and IT product distribution, previously owned by Edge Investment Partners. Both companies were established in the early 1990s and were acquired by Edge in 2012 and 2014, respectively. Sonepar's aggressive acquisition strategy may pose risks to market competition and influence supply chains in the region.
