Southville Global Education Network Partners with First Gen for Geothermal Power Supply
Southville Global Education Network has partnered with First Gen Group to transition to geothermal power, aiming to lower electricity costs and reduce carbon emissions. The consortium has pooled over 1,800 kilowatts of electricity demand to contract with First Gen, the Philippines’ largest renewable energy provider. Power will be sourced from the Unified Leyte Geothermal Power Plant in Kananga, Leyte. This initiative is facilitated by government programs allowing consumers to aggregate demand for better supplier negotiations.

Southville Global Education Network (SGEN) has partnered with First Gen Group to transition to geothermal power, aiming to reduce electricity costs and carbon footprint. SGEN aggregated over 1,800 kilowatts of electricity demand to contract directly with First Gen, the largest renewable energy provider in the Philippines.
The energy will come from the Unified Leyte Geothermal Power Plant in Kananga, Leyte. This transition is supported by government programs enabling demand aggregation for negotiations with energy suppliers.
