SRC Group and Energy Transfer Partner for Maritime Heat Pump Technology
SRC Group and Energy Transfer have partnered to introduce electric heat pump systems for maritime applications, targeting conventional oil-fired systems. This technology aims to reduce capital and operational costs while enhancing energy efficiency, making it a viable option for shipowners focused on emissions reduction.

SRC Group and Energy Transfer have entered a strategic partnership to implement electric heat pump technology in the maritime sector. This collaboration aims to provide marine heat pump systems for new and retrofit projects, targeting vessels that currently use oil-fired boilers and chillers.
SRC Group will exclusively market Energy Transfer's technology, which offers combined thermal output of up to 11 kW for every 1 kW of electrical input. The solution is designed for efficiency, supporting zero-emission operations and potentially allowing shipowners to recoup their investment in under two years. As the maritime industry seeks to lower emissions and operational costs, this technology represents a timely advancement in energy management.
