The Cabinet of Ministers in Sri Lanka has approved the establishment of a Renewable Energy Training Centre, estimated at Rs. 398 million, utilizing local funding. This project follows a MoU signed on 10 February 2025 between the Sri Lanka-German Technical Training Institute (SLGTI) and the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (SLSEA).
Located on 3.11 acres in the Mayurapura Division, the facility will be affiliated with SLGTI and near the Kiriebbanwewa Solar Power Plant.
