StarLIMS to Acquire MODA Platform from Lonza to Enhance Manufacturing and Quality Control
StarLIMS will acquire the MODA Platform from Lonza, expected to close in Q2 2026. This acquisition aims to enhance manufacturing operations and quality control, integrating laboratory workflows with production processes. StarLIMS serves over 2,000 laboratories in various sectors and seeks to support customers throughout the product lifecycle. Lonza is divesting the MODA Platform to focus on core areas but will remain a strategic customer post-transaction.

StarLIMS has agreed to acquire the MODA Platform from Lonza, with the deal anticipated to close in Q2 2026. This acquisition will enable StarLIMS to extend its laboratory information management system into manufacturing operations, aiming for improved automation and efficiency from R&D to production.
StarLIMS currently serves over 2,000 laboratories in sectors such as life sciences and food and beverage. Lonza, a major contract development and manufacturing organization, is divesting MODA to concentrate on core services while remaining a strategic customer after the acquisition.
