Stellantis Unveils New Turbo 100 Engine for Peugeot 208 and 2008 with Enhanced Reliability
Stellantis has introduced the Turbo 100, a new petrol engine for the Peugeot 208 and 2008 models, featuring a metal timing chain instead of a rubber belt. The 1199cc three-cylinder engine maintains 99bhp but includes 70% new components for improved reliability and efficiency. It underwent extensive testing, totaling 30,000 hours and 3 million kilometers. Maintenance intervals are extended to every two years or 25,000 miles, and enhancements include a high-pressure fuel injection system and revised valve timing.
