STEM Innovation Council and SpacePort Australia Launch Partnership for Youth Space Education
The STEM Innovation Council and SpacePort Australia have partnered to enhance space education for youth aged 12-16, addressing declining STEM engagement. This initiative aims to inspire the next generation for careers in space and related fields.

The STEM Innovation Council (SIC) has formed a strategic partnership with SpacePort Australia (SPA) to boost space education and improve STEM retention among 12-16-year-olds. The collaboration will feature prominent mentors including Dr.
Gabrielle M. Caswell and Gitanjali Rao, with goals focused on immersive education and mentorship to re-engage students. This initiative is timely, coinciding with a renewed global emphasis on space exploration, underscored by the Artemis II mission. The partnership aims to create a pipeline for youth into space-related careers, addressing the significant decline in STEM interest during critical teenage years, which poses risks for future global innovation.
